Ⅰ. 설립 배경

I. Background

 

 

기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 사회적 영향력이 확대되고 이해관계자와 사회가 요구하는 책임의 범위가 넓어지면서, 조직의 책임경영을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가하고 그 결과를 신뢰할 수 있는 평가정보로 제공할 수 있는 전문적인 평가체계의 필요성이 커지고 있다.

 

As the social influence of corporations, public institutions, and other organizations expands and the scope of responsibility expected by stakeholders and society continues to broaden, there is a growing need for a professional evaluation framework capable of objectively and systematically evaluating Responsible Management and providing the resulting outcomes as reliable evaluation information.

 

인공지능(AI)과 디지털 기술의 발전, 기후·환경 변화, 글로벌 공급망의 재편 등 사회·환경·산업·기술환경의 변화는 조직에 새로운 위험과 기회를 가져오는 동시에 책임 있는 의사결정과 지속가능한 발전의 중요성을 더욱 높이고 있다.

 

Changes in social, environmental, industrial, and technological conditions—including advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies, climate and environmental change, and the restructuring of global supply chains—are creating new risks and opportunities for organizations while increasing the importance of responsible decision-making and Sustainable Development.

 

이러한 변화 속에서 조직을 평가하기 위해서는 현재의 성과뿐만 아니라 조직의 의사결정과 활동이 사회와 환경, 이해관계자와 공동체, 현재세대와 미래세대에 미치는 영향과 그에 상응하는 책임의 이행을 함께 고려할 필요가 있다.

 

In this changing environment, evaluating an organization requires consideration not only of its current performance but also of the impacts of its decisions and activities on society and the environment, stakeholders and communities, and present and future generations, together with the fulfillment of responsibilities corresponding to those impacts.

 

세계청년리더총연맹(WORLD FEDERATION OF POWER LEADERS, WFPL)은 기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 책임경영을 종합적이고 체계적으로 평가하기 위한 WF책임경영지수(WF Sustainable Responsibility Index, WFSRI) 연구성과를 확립하였다. 에스이씨평가원(SEC Co., Ltd., 이하 “SEC”)은 이러한 연구성과를 토대로 기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 책임경영을 전문적으로 평가하기 위하여 설립된 기업·공공기관 평가전문기관이다.

 

The WORLD FEDERATION OF POWER LEADERS (WFPL) established the research outcomes of the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) for the comprehensive and systematic evaluation of Responsible Management across corporations, public institutions, and other organizations. SEC Co., Ltd. (“SEC”) was established as a professional evaluation institution specializing in corporations and public institutions to evaluate Responsible Management across corporations, public institutions, and other organizations based on these research outcomes.

 

SEC는 WFSRI 연구성과를 토대로 SEC 평가방법론(SEC Evaluation Methodology)과 SEC 평가체계(SEC Evaluation Framework)를 수립·운영하고 지속적으로 고도화하며, 객관적이고 체계적인 책임경영 평가와 신뢰할 수 있는 평가정보의 제공을 위한 전문적인 평가기반을 발전시켜 나간다.

 

Building upon the WFSRI research outcomes, SEC establishes, operates, and continuously advances the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework and develops a professional foundation for the objective and systematic evaluation of Responsible Management and the provision of reliable evaluation information.

SEC는 기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 책임경영을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가하고 그 결과를 신뢰할 수 있는 평가정보로 제공함으로써 책임 있는 의사결정과 지속가능한 발전을 지원하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

 

SEC aims to support responsible decision-making and Sustainable Development by objectively and systematically evaluating the Responsible Management of corporations, public institutions, and other organizations and providing the resulting outcomes as reliable evaluation information.

 

SEC는 조직의 현재 성과에 한정하지 않고 책임경영 수준과 지속가능성, 리스크 대응역량, 혁신역량 및 미래 경쟁력 등을 종합적으로 평가·분석하여 조직과 다양한 이해관계자가 책임경영의 주요 특성과 강점 및 개선 필요영역을 이해할 수 있는 평가정보를 제공한다.

 

SEC does not limit its evaluation to current organizational performance. It comprehensively evaluates and analyzes Responsible Management, Sustainability, Risk Response Capability, Innovation Capability, Future Competitiveness, and related factors to provide evaluation information that enables organizations and diverse stakeholders to understand key characteristics, strengths, and areas requiring improvement in Responsible Management.

 

SEC는 이러한 평가와 분석을 통해 기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 책임 있는 의사결정과 지속가능한 발전을 지원하고, 다양한 이해관계자의 합리적인 판단에 필요한 정보를 제공하며, 사회적 신뢰와 공공가치 증진 및 책임경영 문화의 확산에 기여한다.

 

Through such evaluation and analysis, SEC supports responsible decision-making and Sustainable Development across corporations, public institutions, and other organizations, provides information that supports informed judgment by diverse stakeholders, and contributes to strengthening social trust, advancing Public Value, and promoting a broader culture of Responsible Management.

SEC continuously studies changes in social, environmental, industrial, and technological conditions as well as emerging risks and opportunities and reflects changes in the evaluation environment in the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework to continuously strengthen the Professionalism and Reliability of its evaluations.
