Role and Application of the WFSRI

 

 

 

 

WFSRI는 SEC 평가방법론(SEC Evaluation Methodology)과 SEC 평가체계(SEC Evaluation Framework)를 통해 도출된 책임경영 평가결과를 종합하여 조직의 책임경영을 하나의 통합된 관점에서 나타내는 종합평가지수(Comprehensive Evaluation Index)이다.

 

The WFSRI is a Comprehensive Evaluation Index that integrates Responsible Management evaluation results derived through the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework and presents organizational Responsible Management from an integrated perspective.

 

WFSRI는 평가결과를 하나의 지수로 나타내는 데 그치지 않고 조직의 책임경영과 지속가능성, 장기적인 가치창출 및 미래변화에 대한 대응을 종합적으로 살펴볼 수 있는 평가정보로서 역할을 한다.

 

The WFSRI goes beyond presenting evaluation results as a single index. It serves as evaluation information that enables a comprehensive understanding of organizational Responsible Management, Sustainability, long-term value creation, and responses to future change.

 

 

 

Ⅰ. 책임경영에 대한 종합적인 평가정보

I. Comprehensive Evaluation Information on Responsible Management

 

 

조직의 책임경영은 하나의 성과나 특정한 평가영역만으로 충분히 설명하기 어렵다. 서로 다른 영역에서 나타나는 정책과 제도, 실행과 성과, 영향과 위험 및 미래대응을 종합적으로 살펴볼 필요가 있다.

 

Organizational Responsible Management cannot be fully explained by a single performance measure or a particular evaluation area. It requires a comprehensive examination of policies and systems, implementation and performance, impacts and risks, and Future Readiness across different areas.

 

WFSRI는 SEC 평가를 통해 확인된 다양한 책임경영 평가결과를 종합함으로써 조직의 책임경영을 전체적인 관점에서 이해할 수 있도록 한다.

 

The WFSRI integrates diverse Responsible Management evaluation results identified through SEC evaluation, enabling organizational Responsible Management to be understood from an overall perspective.

 

이를 통해 개별적인 성과만으로는 확인하기 어려운 조직의 책임경영 수준과 지속가능한 발전을 위한 역량을 보다 종합적으로 살펴볼 수 있다.

 

This makes it possible to examine more comprehensively an organization’s level of Responsible Management and its capabilities for Sustainable Development, which may be difficult to understand through individual performance measures alone.

 

 

 

Ⅱ. 조직의 책임경영 점검과 개선

II. Review and Improvement of Organizational Responsible Management

 

 

WFSRI와 그 기반이 되는 평가결과는 조직이 책임경영의 현황을 살펴보고 지속적인 개선이 필요한 영역을 인식하는 데 활용될 수 있다.

 

The WFSRI and the evaluation results underlying it may be used by organizations to review the current state of their Responsible Management and identify areas requiring continuous improvement.

 

조직은 평가결과를 통해 현재의 성과뿐만 아니라 책임경영을 뒷받침하는 정책과 제도, 실행과 성과관리, 위험과 기회에 대한 대응 및 미래변화에 대한 준비 등을 종합적으로 점검할 수 있다.

 

Through evaluation results, organizations can comprehensively review not only current performance but also policies and systems supporting Responsible Management, implementation and performance management, responses to risks and opportunities, and preparedness for future change.

 

WFSRI는 특정한 경영방식이나 획일적인 조직운영 형태를 요구하기 위한 것이 아니라 각 조직이 자신의 역할과 특성에 맞는 책임경영을 지속적으로 발전시키는 데 참고할 수 있는 평가정보를 제공한다.

 

The WFSRI is not intended to require a particular management method or uniform form of organizational operation. Rather, it provides evaluation information that organizations may use as a reference in continuously developing Responsible Management appropriate to their respective roles and characteristics.

 

 

 

Ⅲ. 이해관계자의 판단을 위한 평가정보

III. Evaluation Information for Stakeholder Judgment

 

 

기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 활동은 주주·투자자, 임직원, 소비자·이용자, 협력사, 지역사회와 국민 등 다양한 이해관계자에게 영향을 미칠 수 있다.

 

The activities of corporations, public institutions, and other organizations may affect diverse stakeholders, including shareholders and investors, employees, consumers and users, business partners, local communities, and the public.

 

WFSRI는 조직의 책임경영을 종합적으로 살펴볼 수 있는 평가정보를 제공함으로써 이해관계자가 조직의 책임경영과 지속가능성을 판단하는 데 참고할 수 있도록 한다.

 

The WFSRI provides comprehensive evaluation information on organizational Responsible Management that stakeholders may use as a reference in considering an organization’s Responsible Management and Sustainability.

 

다만 WFSRI는 특정한 투자·거래·구매 또는 기타 의사결정을 직접 권고하거나 대신하기 위한 지수가 아니다. WFSRI와 관련 평가정보는 이해관계자가 각자의 목적과 판단기준에 따라 활용할 수 있는 참고정보로 제공된다.

 

The WFSRI is not intended to directly recommend or substitute for particular investment, transaction, purchasing, or other decisions. The WFSRI and related evaluation information are provided as reference information that stakeholders may use according to their own purposes and judgment criteria.

 

 

 

Ⅳ. 책임 있는 의사결정과 지속가능한 발전

WFSRI는 조직의 현재 성과뿐만 아니라 책임경영과 지속가능성, 장기적인 가치창출 및 미래변화에 대한 대응을 함께 살펴볼 수 있는 평가정보를 제공한다.

 

The WFSRI provides evaluation information that enables consideration not only of current organizational performance but also of Responsible Management, Sustainability, long-term value creation, and responses to future change.

 

이러한 평가정보는 조직이 단기적인 성과와 장기적인 책임을 함께 고려하고, 경영과 의사결정 과정에서 지속가능한 발전과 미래 경쟁력을 보다 체계적으로 살펴보는 데 활용될 수 있다.

 

Such evaluation information may help organizations consider short-term performance together with long-term responsibility and more systematically examine Sustainable Development and Future Competitiveness in management and decision-making.

 

WFSRI는 이를 통해 책임 있는 의사결정과 지속가능한 가치창출을 지원하고, 조직과 사회의 지속가능한 발전에 기여하는 것을 지향한다.

 

Through this role, the WFSRI seeks to support responsible decision-making and sustainable value creation and contribute to the Sustainable Development of organizations and society.

 

 

 

Ⅴ. WFSRI와 SEC WFSRI Rating

V. WFSRI and the SEC WFSRI Rating

 

 

WFSRI와 SEC WFSRI Rating은 서로 관련되어 있지만 동일한 개념은 아니다.

 

The WFSRI and the SEC WFSRI Rating are related but distinct concepts.

 

WFSRI는 SEC 평가방법론과 SEC 평가체계를 통해 도출된 책임경영 평가결과를 종합하여 산출하는 종합평가지수이며, SEC WFSRI Rating은 정해진 등급기준과 절차에 따라 평가결과를 등급으로 나타내는 평가제도이다.

 

The WFSRI is a Comprehensive Evaluation Index derived by integrating Responsible Management evaluation results produced through the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework, while the SEC WFSRI Rating is a rating system that expresses evaluation results as Ratings in accordance with established rating criteria and procedures.

 

따라서 WFSRI는 책임경영 평가결과를 종합하는 지수로서 기능하고, Rating은 그 평가결과를 정해진 등급체계에 따라 이해할 수 있도록 하는 역할을 한다.

 

Accordingly, the WFSRI functions as an index integrating Responsible Management evaluation results, while the Rating enables those results to be understood through an established rating structure.

 

SEC WFSRI Rating의 등급체계와 결정·공표 등에 관한 사항은 「평가결과」에서 별도로 제시한다.

 

The rating structure, determination, disclosure, and other matters relating to the SEC WFSRI Rating are presented separately under “Evaluation Results.”

 

 

 

Ⅵ. WFSRI와 SEC WFSRI Certification

SEC WFSRI Certification은 WFSRI 자체 또는 SEC WFSRI Rating과 동일한 개념이 아니다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Certification is not the same concept as either the WFSRI itself or the SEC WFSRI Rating.

 

Certification은 SEC가 정한 인증기준과 절차에 따라 운영되는 별도의 제도이며, 평가결과와 관련 기준을 바탕으로 인증 여부를 결정한다.

 

Certification is a separate system operated in accordance with Certification criteria and procedures established by SEC, under which Certification decisions are made on the basis of evaluation results and applicable criteria.

 

따라서 종합평가지수인 WFSRI, 평가결과를 등급으로 나타내는 SEC WFSRI Rating, 별도의 기준과 절차에 따라 운영되는 SEC WFSRI Certification은 각각의 기능과 목적에 따라 구분한다.

 

Accordingly, the WFSRI as a Comprehensive Evaluation Index, the SEC WFSRI Rating as a system for expressing evaluation results through Ratings, and the SEC WFSRI Certification as a separate system operated under its own criteria and procedures are distinguished according to their respective functions and purposes.

 

SEC WFSRI Certification의 대상·기준·절차 및 인증결정에 관한 구체적인 사항은 「인증제도」에서 별도로 제시한다.

 

Detailed matters concerning the scope, criteria, procedures, and Certification decisions of the SEC WFSRI Certification are presented separately under “Certification.”

 

 

 

Ⅶ. WFSRI의 지속적인 발전

VII. Continuous Development of the WFSRI

 

 

책임경영을 둘러싼 환경과 조직에 요구되는 책임은 고정되어 있지 않다. 새로운 사회·환경적 과제와 산업구조의 변화, 기술혁신과 새로운 위험의 등장은 책임경영 평가에서도 지속적인 연구와 검토를 요구한다.

 

The environment surrounding Responsible Management and the responsibilities expected of organizations are not static. New social and environmental challenges, changes in industrial structures, technological innovation, and emerging risks require continuous research and review in Responsible Management evaluation.

 

SEC는 세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL)이 확립한 WFSRI 연구성과를 토대로 사회·환경·산업·기술환경의 변화와 책임경영에 관한 새로운 과제를 지속적으로 살펴보고 SEC 평가방법론과 SEC 평가체계를 고도화한다.

 

Based on the WFSRI research outcomes established by WFPL, SEC continuously examines changes in social, environmental, industrial, and technological conditions and emerging Responsible Management issues and advances the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework.

 

평가방법론과 평가체계의 발전은 기존 평가결과를 임의로 변경하기 위한 것이 아니라 변화하는 환경에서도 책임경영을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가할 수 있도록 평가의 적정성과 신뢰성을 지속적으로 높이기 위한 것이다.

 

The development of the Evaluation Methodology and Evaluation Framework is not intended to arbitrarily alter existing evaluation results, but to continuously enhance the appropriateness and Reliability of Evaluation so that Responsible Management can be evaluated objectively and systematically in a changing environment.

 

WFSRI는 이러한 지속적인 연구와 발전을 통해 현재의 책임뿐만 아니라 새롭게 나타나는 책임과 미래변화에 대한 조직의 대응을 함께 살펴볼 수 있는 책임경영 종합평가지수로 발전해 나간다.

 

Through such continuous research and development, the WFSRI continues to evolve as a Comprehensive Evaluation Index for Responsible Management capable of considering both present responsibilities and emerging responsibilities, together with organizational responses to future change.
